Not in the Pink
When the client purchased his home, he was immediately enamored with the beautiful, wooded lot surrounding it. The house, however, needed some updates and those started in the 2nd floor full bathroom.
The trend in 1980 was a pink hue, but this client wanted no part of it and reached out to the Renovisions Team to help him transform his main bath into a bath space he would feel more comfortable using every day. The client wanted to stay with the softer, warmer creamy ivory tones so Renovisions collaborated with him at the Showroom to select all the products that not only coordinated well but were stylish and would stand the test of time.

Keeping the same layout, we removed the existing fiberglass tub and pink shower wall tile and replaced it with a new acrylic tub and beautiful large format polished porcelain marble-look ivory-colored tiles. The light pink bathroom floor tile was replaced with the same soft ivory color in an unpolished porcelain tile. The new vanity cabinet in a soft color called Putty was taller than the one we replaced, so the client can store more bath accessories. The brighter hue for the countertop was a perfect choice to lighten up the space and promote a clean and neutral aesthetic the customer loves.
Adding shiplap to the walls was a great way to add character to this space. The horizontal planks were installed on half of the accent wall with moldings and when painted the same Putty color as the vanity cabinet and trims, it provides a cohesive design and stylish look. The client’s mind was put at ease when he noticed Renovisions using a mildew-resistant bath and spa paint that is specially formulated for optimal performance in high humidity environments.
The client was thrilled with this transformation and loves the soft neutral vibe of his bathroom space.
